Since I was very small my grandmother has tried to raise me to be a cultured young lady. At a young age she began exposing me to classic English literature and proper etiquette. She made it her goal to give me all the tools during childhood so i might become a proper young lady in adolescence. Well, that didn't exactly workout. But, one of the best things I took from the experience was a love for wonderful writing. I have grown up loving spectacular English authors like Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, The Brontë Sisters and Lewis Carroll. It wasn't until the third grade, however, that my grandmother introduced me to the enticing writings of William Shakespeare. Having read Old English since nearly infancy it wasn't as difficult to pick up the language, however it was still very difficult. Macbeth was the first play I read so I have a sort of nostalgia for it. At this point I believe I have read all of the comedies and tragedies. I have the goal to read all of the historical plays before I leave for college. I do love the language and the writing and the poetic style of Shakespeare's work. I really love everything having anything to do with Shakespeare. In turn, this blog will be nothing but praise for the great man that is William Shakespeare.
